The French competitors authority, Autorité de la concurrence, has initiated an investigation into Meta Platforms concerning allegations of exploiting its dominant place within the internet advertising market.
In a press release, the regulator stated that the proprietor of Fb is accused of limiting entry to advert verification partnerships. The phrases for such partnerships had been reportedly opaque, discriminatory, and unfair.
“The Normal Rapporteur of the Autorité de la concurrence broadcasts that an objection has been notified to the Meta group, regarding practices carried out within the internet advertising sector, that are more likely to have penalties on a number of associated markets for the availability of advert verification companies and advert areas,” the assertion stated.
